Rugby China -
Every now and again, when out hunting in antique fairs and poking around
charity shops you can pick up the odd bit of rugby related china and ceramics.
Some is well made and worth thousands, other bits are made as promotional
objects to reflect a products sponsorship of a game or team. Other items are
made to celebrate a famous victory or tour. My collection is not vast as I find
that the wife will only have so many rugby tankards above the fire place, and
refuses to wash or clean them saying "they are yours you look after
them".
With Christmas coming most of us could use a new mug to drink our tea or beer
from, or maybe a paper-weight to decorate the den or desk. Point your other half
in this direction and you may find a lump of rugby china in your Christmas
stocking.
